Marriage biodata format for a girl

The format is the same for everyone: a single page about the person and the family. The choices below are the ones families ask about most often.

What to include

• About her: name, date of birth, height if you wish, religion and mother tongue.
• Education and work: what she studied and what she does now.
• Family: parents and siblings. Write Late before a parent's name where needed.
• In her own words: what matters to her, and what she hopes for in a partner.
• Contact: a family member as the contact person.

What you can leave out

Appearance, caste, horoscope and income are all optional. They print only if you choose them, and the phone number stays off the card unless you tick it. If a card will be forwarded widely, leaving the number off is safer.

Photo

Use a recent photo, as she looks today. We never change faces or skin.
